Privacy Policy

Data we process

We process account identifiers, project metadata, uploaded video and its audio, the selected target language, dubbed video exports, usage records, payment entitlement status, device and security signals, and support communications. Payment card details are handled by the applicable payment provider and are not stored by VlogMe Dub.

Guest use and optional account linking

You can use Dub without registering. A guest session has an opaque technical identifier used to protect your projects and account for purchases and usage. Guest use still involves the media processing described in this policy. You may link your guest data to a VlogMe account to access it across devices. Your sign-in methods belong to that central account; Dub projects and balances remain separate from other VlogMe products. Payment receipt contact details do not by themselves link a guest to an existing account.

The mobile applications connect to the shared VlogMe account and Dub web services. The two operators process the account, project and purchase information needed to provide that connected experience, including access to your linked Dub projects across platforms.

Clearing browser storage or losing the app session may make unlinked guest projects inaccessible. Purchase restoration verifies specific purchase rights and does not grant access to old videos. You can request deletion from our deletion page, including while using a guest session.

Why we process it

Data is used to provide video dubbing, exports, billing, abuse prevention, support, and service reliability. Uploaded video and audio are sent to our contracted dubbing processor to create the requested video with VDub v2. If you choose optional lip sync, the translated video and its audio are also processed by our contracted lip-sync processors to create the selected VSync v2 or VSync v2 Pro video version.

Processors and international transfers

We may use infrastructure, authentication, payments, AI, storage, and media-processing providers. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the features described above. Contact us for information about the processors that handle your data. Processing may occur in countries other than your own under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Source media is scheduled for deletion after 7 days. Thumbnails and exported videos are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Deleting a project removes its stored media and requests deletion of its known provider dubbing records; cleanup retries continue until confirmed. Active lip-sync operations retain their translated source and temporary audio until processing and payment reconciliation finish. Paid lip-sync videos are retained for 30 days; their translated source remains available for at least the same period. Deletion may wait for an active operation and its financial settlement. Records required for accounting, security, fraud prevention, or legal duties may remain. Voice-consent attestations may remain after media, project, or account deletion to document the authorization that was provided.

Analytics and advertising measurement

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand visits, sign-in, uploads, dubbing, downloads and purchases. The website also loads the Meta pixel for VlogMe's shared Meta advertising account. It reports public page views, checkout starts and completed web purchases (product, amount, currency and a payment reference), and Meta receives the page address and browser information and can set its own cookies. The Meta pixel is never loaded in the mobile applications. Measurement may include browser and session identifiers, advertising click identifiers, campaign information, an opaque account identifier, transaction identifiers, currency, payment amounts and refunds. We do not send uploaded media, transcripts, private filenames, email addresses or payment card details to these services.

Cloudflare determines an approximate country, and in Canada the province, from your connection before any measurement starts. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Turkey and Quebec, and whenever the region cannot be determined, nothing optional loads until you choose OK on the short cookie notice; OK allows analytics and advertising measurement. Everywhere else no notice is shown and measurement starts when you visit, unless you have turned it off. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals by keeping optional measurement off.

You can turn analytics and advertising measurement off at any time in Privacy settings below or from the Privacy settings in your account. Turning it off stops Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel in this browser, is saved as your choice and, when you are signed in, is also saved to your account. Analytics campaign information is kept separately from advertising click identifiers. Referring websites are measured by origin only, without their paths or query strings. Browser campaign attribution lasts up to 30 days; a checkout attribution snapshot can remain for up to 90 days to reconcile delayed payments. Browser, session and click identifiers in our measurement event queue are removed after 90 days. We do not use this measurement for advertising personalization. Explicit permission lasts up to 180 days, after which the notice appears again where it is required. Saved refusals and browser privacy signals are never converted into an automatic grant. Financial records remain subject to the retention purposes described above.

Mobile advertising measurement

The mobile applications use AppsFlyer to understand which advertisements lead to installs and paid subscriptions or purchases, and RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. The same regional rule applies: in the regions listed above, and when the region is unknown, AppsFlyer starts only after you choose OK; elsewhere it starts without a notice unless you turn it off. AppsFlyer can receive an installation identifier, device and connection information, campaign details and app activity. On iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you also allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you do not, AppsFlyer measures without the IDFA. Declining optional measurement does not prevent you from using the app or making a purchase.

RevenueCat sends confirmed payment events to AppsFlyer, including the product, an opaque purchase-account identifier, payment amounts, renewals and refunds. A purchase made on the web with a linked purchase account may also be attributed to a mobile installation. AppsFlyer can share permitted conversion information with the advertising partners used for our campaigns. We do not send your uploaded video, audio, transcripts or email address to AppsFlyer for this purpose.

You can turn mobile measurement off in the app's Privacy settings and change iOS tracking permission in your device settings. Turning it off stops future SDK collection on this installation and requests removal of its RevenueCat attribution link when connectivity is available. It does not erase information already delivered; use the contact below to request access or deletion. See also the AppsFlyer services privacy policy.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of personal data where applicable. Contact privacy@vlogme.lingo. We may need to verify the request before acting.

Security and children

We use access controls, signed uploads, server-side secret handling, scoped storage, rate limits, and audit records. No system is perfectly secure. The service is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required by local law.
