What an upscale changes, and what it does not.
What does Topaz change in my video?
It raises the resolution and reduces common compression artifacts with the Proteus model. It does not restyle the shot, add new content or change the motion.
Should I choose 2× or 4×?
2× suits most clips. 4× outputs up to 4K, so it needs a small source: at most 960 × 540, or 540 × 960 for vertical video.
How long can the video be?
Up to five minutes. Topaz upscales the whole source; trim it in Video Editor first if you need only part of it.
How is the price calculated?
Per second of video, paid in credits. Video Editor shows an estimate, and the server checks the real duration before you confirm. Planning a video in Director is free, within usage limits.
Will it fix a blurry or heavily compressed clip?
It helps, but upscaling cannot recover detail that was never recorded. Very soft sources improve less; check faces and on-screen text in the result.
