Do I need a HeyGen account or subscription?
No. HeyGen Avatar V runs inside VlogMe Video Studio on your VlogMe credits, so there is no HeyGen account, plan or monthly minimum. HeyGen’s own plans are separate: its Creator plan is listed at $29 a month, or $24 a month billed annually (HeyGen pricing, checked on 17 October 2026). Is HeyGen Avatar V free in VlogMe?
The render is paid: every HeyGen Avatar V clip uses credits, because it is video generation. Choosing a presenter and adding your audio cost nothing, and in Director the story, images, voice-over and music are free to start, within usage limits.
When is a talking photo cheaper than HeyGen Avatar V?
When you have a portrait you are allowed to use. Hedra Avatar animates that photo for less per second and runs up to 10 minutes per clip, so a long or frequent presenter video costs less as a talking photo. Choose HeyGen Avatar V when you have no portrait, or want a professional preset presenter.
Can HeyGen Avatar V use my photo or my HeyGen digital twin?
No. It delivers your audio with the preset presenter you choose, and it cannot take your photo or a digital twin from your HeyGen account. To animate your own portrait, use Hedra Avatar or OmniHuman 1.5.
How long can a HeyGen Avatar V clip be?
Up to 60 seconds per clip; the length of your audio sets it. For a longer script, render it as several clips, or use Hedra Avatar, which runs up to 10 minutes per clip.
