Questions about Vietnamese talking avatars
Northern or Southern accent?
The voices read standard Vietnamese. For a Hanoi or Saigon accent, clone a voice from a native speaker with that accent.
Are all six tones rendered?
Yes, when the script is fully marked: ngang, huyền, sắc, hỏi, ngã and nặng all come through in the voice track, and the lip-sync follows it.
Do I need full diacritics?
Yes. Vietnamese without tone marks is ambiguous, so write with full diacritics to get the correct reading.
